Variety Business Intelligence has executed the largest study of its kind on ethnic and gender inclusion across television, film and digital content that was distributed in the US from January 1, 2017 to August 15, 2018. The complete report gives studios and networks the tools they need to see their inclusion initiatives in the context of the industry at large. The inaugural report is the first in a series that will be released annually. Combining the underlying data with the study allows Variety's partners to maintain accurate internal lists of ethnicity and gender to power future content development and ensure best practices.
